Oakland North is continuing with our new feature. Every Tuesday, Oakland Animal Services will spotlight an “Animal of the Week” that’s up for adoption at their facility. This week it’s Hershey:
Hershey is a black rabbit with a sprinkling of white hairs. She is friendly, happy and patient. Jumping around her cardboard boxes and gnawing on her willow chew toys, Hershey loves to play. When Oakland Services Volunteers bring her greens she happily runs over to get them. She especially loves banana slices. Hershey has been at Oakland Animal Services for just over a year, please consider giving her a home. For more photos and a video of her, click here. Visit Oakland Animal Services at 1101 29th Avenue, Oakland, CA and ask to see Hershey. You can also go to www.oaklandanimalservices.org.
Part of the Oakland Police Department, Oakland Animal Services is both an Animal Control unit—which is in charge of the city’s public safety and animal welfare—and a shelter, which helps abused, neglected and abandoned animals within its facility.
