They both contributed to the scholarship for a whopping total of $500. Assuming a generous 40 working hours in a week, that means that Lynch gave him the equivalent of 7 minutes of his salary, and Johnson 2.5 minutes. Why even bother? The kid deserves kudos for sure, but it’s really weird to have a ceremony and all that for a scholarship that is probably less they spent on lunch.
