Oakland North is continuing with our feature. Every week, Oakland Animal Services will spotlight an “Animal of the Week” that’s up for adoption at their facility. This week it’s a dog named Boots.
Meet Boots, a volunteer favorite. He is a mellow and handsome 1-year-old pit bull terrier mix who has been at the shelter since May. Boots has many doggy friends at the shelter and might make a good second dog. His adoption fees are sponsored by a donor, so he is free to a good home (adoption application process still applies).
You can learn more about Boots at http://www.petfinder.com/petdetail/23139942 or visit Oakland Animal Services at 1101 29th Avenue, Oakland, CA and ask to see Boots.
Part of the Oakland Police Department, Oakland Animal Services is both an Animal Control unit–which is in charge of the city’s public safety and animal welfare–and a shelter, which helps abused, neglected and abandoned animals within its facility.
