Adoptable animal of the week: Rigby

on December 18, 2012

Oakland North is continuing with our feature. Every week, Oakland Animal Services will spotlight an “Animal of the Week” that’s up for adoption at their facility. This week it’s a cat named Rigby.

Rigby is a super smart and active boy who has lived the shelter life since June 2012. He loves chasing after feather wands and is looking for a guardian who loves to play, but he would prefer a  home without children. Rigby would do best with an experienced cat guardian who can easily tune in to Rigby’s unique and goofy personality. Rigby prefers to be the king of his kitty castle and would do best in a home where he is the only pet.

For more information about Rigby and to see his video, visit his Petfinder profile: http://www.petfinder.com/petdetail/23456736 or visit Oakland Animal Services at 1101 29th Avenue, Oakland, CA.

The total adoption fee for Rigby is $35. The fee includes his neuter, microchip, and all vaccinations including rabies.  To adopt, all household members must attend whether family or roommates.

Part of the Oakland Police Department, Oakland Animal Services is both an Animal Control unit–which is in charge of the city’s public safety and animal welfare–and a shelter, which helps abused, neglected and abandoned animals within its facility.
