Community photo of the week: Lake Merritt in the gloom

Every week, Oakland North will publish a photo submitted by one of our readers. This week’s photo is by Gina Garcia.

She writes, “The following photo was taken of Lake Merritt on Tuesday, December 4 on the corner Madison and Lakeside. It was early evening, gloomy-ish from the rain and something about the clouds and the lighting made me stop my car (basically in the middle of the street) so that I could attempt to capture the moment. I tend to forget about the beauty of Oakland! I am thrilled to have caught a lasting glimpse.”
