Adoptable animal of the week: Jacques

Oakland North is continuing with our feature. Every week, Oakland Animal Services will spotlight an “Animal of the Week” that’s up for adoption at their facility. This week it’s a cat named Jacques.

Jacques is an attractive and playful Turkish Van mix who is 1-2 years old. He has mostly white fur with some orange tabby on his head, tail, and a spot or two on his body. He loves to play with his toys and will proudly carry his “prey” back to his special place. Jacques needs a home where his people will play with him regularly. A home without another cat or a dog would suit him well.

For more information about Jacques and to see his video, visit his Petfinder profile: http://www.petfinder.com/petdetail/24786082 or visit Oakland Animal Services at 1101 29th Avenue, Oakland, CA.

The total adoption fee for Jacques is $35. The fee includes his neuter, microchip, and all vaccinations including rabies.  To adopt, all household members must attend whether family or roommates.

Part of the Oakland Police Department, Oakland Animal Services is both an Animal Control unit–which is in charge of the city’s public safety and animal welfare–and a shelter, which helps abused, neglected and abandoned animals within its facility.
