The Oakland Tech High School Jazz Bands will perform at Yoshi’s at Jack London Square in Oakland on Monday, April 15th, at 7 pm and 9 pm. Tickets cost $15, and the performance is a fundraiser for the Oakland Tech Music Department. To rectify your poor photo essay of 94602 I suggest you interview organizations like the Dimond Improvement Association. Include photos of Glenview and Oakmore as you advertised you had but did not. I cannot express how disappointed I am in the cursory attention to the 94602. As a UCB graduate 1969 I am ashamed of this poor work of the UCB Journalism department. You have offended 94602 by just walking down Mac Arthur Blvd without venturing into the districts themselves on Fruitvale Ave.and Park Blvd. The beautiful Dimond Park on Fruitvale Ave should have been included. I am disgusted. Your program has an excellent goal but only if you are accurate. This” photo journalism” has been inaccurate and is so sloppy!!! Shame on you and your department. I donate money to keep UCB current and viable but is this what I get from a world famous school.
