Community photo of the week: Santi watches mural painting
on December 15, 2010
Oakland North is continuing with our new feature. Every Wednesday, we will publish a photo submitted by one of our readers. This week’s photo is by Alisha Marie Ragland.
Ragland took this photo of her friend, Santi, looking at artists painting a mural in East Oakland. Ragland, Santi and other friends were just walking by and stopped to watch. “This is an example of passionate and artistic people who care about their community,” says Ragland. The hope is that this space will become a community garden, she says.
