Community photo of the week: Lake Merritt, downtown Oakland and a gondola
on February 23, 2011
Oakland North is continuing with our new feature. Every Wednesday, we will publish a photo submitted by one of our readers. This week’s photo is by Jamie Chreszczyk.
Originally an Australian native, Chreszczyk moved to the east side of Lake Merritt a few years ago. As he goes about his days, walking or biking around the lake to go to work or the BART station, scenes from this lake have become a constant source of his photographs.
If you’d like to contribute to “community photo of the week,” just send a favorite photograph taken in Oakland to firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject: PHOTO. Please make all photographs large-sized and in jpeg format.
