Rumor Nation: Get shots of coffee for free today

Get shots of coffee for free today
Are you a coffee fan? Here is your chance to get it for free, along with T-Shirt and tattoo sticker — I will tell you a true rumor.
When I left International House on Piedmont Avenue this morning to catch a bus, I was desperate for tea or Nescafe to keep me awake and focused in class. Something caught my attention while I was on the bus; there were colorful balloons, people of all ages sitting on tables at the courtyard of Caffe Strada on the corner of College Avenue and Bancroft across the street from Adagia Restaurant. This all seemed normal except for one thing – a long, stretching line of customers trying to get into the café. “What is going on?” I asked the bus driver. “They are serving free coffee of all kinds, mocha, and coffee, Nescafe hot and cold. They are celebrating 20 years of business in the community,” he said.
I headed to the café as soon as I could after my class, and there was still long line of people waiting for their turn. There was a couple pushing baby strollers with two young children, older couples, and young students with their friends or with their girlfriends like on a Sunday afternoon. Customers sit at nice wooden tables inside the café and outside in the front courtyard.
As you wait in the line, two smiling but tired employees from the cafe will give you free T-shirts with the Caffe Strada’s name on it and a tattoo sticker, too. Then, you get to the counter, smiling employees wave at you and ask for your free order, then pass it to their co-workers to fill up. They all work fast and call at each other to pass on cups, cream, milk, and coffee beans. It is like a beehive inside out.
An employee told me the café will serve free hot drinks the whole day until they close at 11:00 p.m., so if you are a coffee fan you still have a good chance to take a break from class and enjoy the people.
