Oakland Running Festival: A video map

on March 26, 2010

Wondering where the big hills are for the marathon course of the Oakland Running Festival? Want to see how the course is mapped out for Oakland’s first marathon in 25 years? Use the map to trace the marathon course from its start at Frank Ogawa Plaza, as it goes all around the city, and leads back to the finish at 14th and Broadway.

Click on a different point of the map on the left to see a video of that section of the course on the right.

The Oakland Running Festival starts with a Twilight 5K race around Lake Merritt on Saturday evening. Sunday’s events include the marathon, which starts at 7:30 a.m., the half-marathon at 9 a.m., the team relay at 7:30 a.m., and the kids’ fun run at 8:30 a.m.
