Sam Williams, highly touted former city editor for the Oakland Tribune, died at the beginning of the month. The Trib ran a formal obit and feature on Williams in today’s paper.
The Oakland East Bay Symphony will put on a special performance–their biggest of the season–tonight at the Paramount Theater under the direction of Michael Morgan.
There’s still hope. Raiders re-sign veteran linebacker Thomas Howard.
