The Oakland Tribune provides an update on the condition of Tristan Anderson, an Oakland resident who remains hospitalized in Israel after being severely injured last year in a protest in the West Bank.

The National Women’s Political Caucus Alameda North is hosting an info session Monday night about the June primary election. From the Caucus: “Which way will you vote on the ballot initiatives for the June 2010 Primary?   Come learn about the issues, pro and con, and learn where women you respect stand on the issues.   Have organizations you belong to or hold in regard taken positions?” The event is Monday, May 3, 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Buttercup Grill, 229 Broadway at 3rd Street, Oakland.

Is there a pothole in your neighborhood? Oakland’s Public Works Agency is starting the second week of its “pothole blitz,” which aims to fix more than 1,000 potholes throughout the city. The week of May 3 will focus on central Oakland, and the final week of May 10 will hit North and West Oakland.  To report a pothole, use the agency’s online form or call 510-615-5566.
