Adoptable Animal of the Week: Belle
on October 26, 2010
Oakland North is continuing with our new feature. Every Tuesday, Oakland Animal Services will spotlight an “Animal of the Week” that’s up for adoption at their facility. This week it’s Belle:
In the spirit of Halloween, give a black cat a loving home. Belle is a sweet, silky, petite two-year-old kitty that has been at Oakland Animal Services, waiting for a home, for many months now. Did you know that black and black and white cats wait the longest to be adopted at shelters? Belle would love a quiet home as a lap cat but is also happy on her own stretched out on your couch. Please consider giving this mellow, affectionate girl the home she deserves. To view more photos and a video of Belle, go here. Cats are $35 to adopt, which includes spay and neuter, microchip and vaccinations. Please visit Oakland Animal Services at 1101 29th Avenue, Oakland, CA and ask to see Belle. You can also visit www.oaklandanimalservices.org.
Part of the Oakland Police Department, Oakland Animal Services is both an Animal Control unit—which is in charge of the city’s public safety and animal welfare—and a shelter, which helps abused, neglected and abandoned animals within its facility.
