In photos: Oakland celebrates the holidays
on December 26, 2010
With the holiday season in full swing, Oakland North decided to take a trip across Oakland and share with its readers some of the decorations, festivities, holiday duties, and acts of goodwill and generosity that its residents are taking part in.
Oakland North takes you from the holiday celebrations of Children’s Fairyland along Lake Merritt to the last-minute push by volunteers for the Oakland Housing Authority to feed needy families to colorful Christmas installations along East Oakland’s Picardy Drive.
