Community photo of the week: A photo of Mayor Quan taking a photo

on May 25, 2011

Oakland North is continuing with our feature. Every Wednesday, we will publish a photo submitted by one of our readers. This week’s photo is by Tonya Love.

Love works in Oakland’s District 2 office. She took this photo of Mayor Jean Quan during a District 2 Town Hall meeting at the end of April. Quan was taking a picture of students who attended the meeting and participated in the Youth Breakout Group, which encourages youth to get involved in each of the city council’s districts.

If you’d like to contribute to “community photo of the week,” just send a favorite photograph taken in Oakland to dara.kerr@oaklandnorth.net with the subject: PHOTO. Please make all photographs large-sized and in jpeg format.
