Adoptable animal of the week: King
on June 14, 2011
Oakland North is continuing with our feature. Every Tuesday, Oakland Animal Services will spotlight an “Animal of the Week” that’s up for adoption at their facility. This week it’s King:
King is a full-grown Chow and Rottweiler mix. Oakland Animal Services volunteers say that he has the best traits of both breeds with the lovable and laid-back characteristics found in Rottweilers along with the loyalty that Chows are known for. He is happy-go-lucky and loves spending time with people. King should be in a home with children who are over 12-years-old. Please consider adopting King. For more photos of him, click here. Visit Oakland Animal Services at 1101 29th Avenue, Oakland, CA and ask to see King. You can also go to www.oaklandanimalservices.org.
Part of the Oakland Police Department, Oakland Animal Services is both an Animal Control unit—which is in charge of the city’s public safety and animal welfare—and a shelter, which helps abused, neglected and abandoned animals within its facility.
