Community Photo of the Week: High on the Paramount Sign

Oakland North is continuing with our feature. Every week, we will publish a photo submitted by one of our readers. This week’s photo is by Ricardo Moran.
Moran snapped this photo of a worker on top of the Paramount Theatre sign from his office at the Ella Baker Center. “When I first saw that man on top of the Paramount sign I was a bit frightened because it struck me as really unsafe,” Moran wrote in an e-mail. “But he looked very calm and had some safety equipment so then I thought about how much work it must take to keep the sign looking great.”
