Community Photo of the Week: Fox Theater Control Panel
on February 15, 2012
Oakland North is continuing with our feature. Every week, we will publish a photo submitted by one of our readers. This week’s photo is by Jason Mongue.
Mongue snapped this photo of the original lighting control panel from the Fox Theater, which is now in The Den at The Fox. “I’m so glad they kept it,” Mongue wrote in an e-mail. “I imagine it must have taken a dozen people to do the lighting cues long when that control board was in operation. Now it’s probably just a little macbook plugged into something doing all the work. The architect who designed the renovation said that they added the flashing lights to the control panel to make it a little more alive for display.”
