East Bay Open Studios 2012

East Bay Open Studios kicks off two weekends of art exhibits throughout the East Bay Area showcasing over 400 artists in 14 cities. Event runs June 2-3 and June 9-10. You can find a directory of participating galleries and more information here.

Maddie’s Matchmaker Adoptathon
Oakland Animal Services, 1101 29th Avenue, Oakland
10 am to 8 pm on Saturday, 10 am to 5 pm on Sunday

The animal shelter hosts an adoptathon to match animals with loving homes. Maddies Fund will cover adoption fees and donate $500 to $2,000 per animal to the shelter with greater funds being given for the adoption of older or injured animals. EBBC Benefit: A Day at the Races and A Night of Cervezas
