Community photo of the week: Last Daze
on September 19, 2012
Every week, Oakland North will publish a photo submitted by one of our readers. This week’s photo is by Sara Ferguson.
She writes, “I’m endlessly entertained by Oakland business’ custom advertisements. This barber shop at 14th and MLK, with its hand painted sign, is a good example. This was taken around the time that Harold Camping’s ‘Rapture’ predictions for the destruction of the world were making headlines and graffiti proclamations were popping up around town.”
