Adoptable animals of the week: Thelma and Louise

on October 23, 2012

Oakland North is continuing with our feature. Every week, Oakland Animal Services will spotlight an “Animal of the Week” that’s up for adoption at their facility. This week it’s a pair of rabbits named Thelma and Louise.

These bunnies urgently need to find a home: Thelma and Louise have been at the Oakland Animal Services since September, 2011. A shelter is no place to grow up, and these girls urgently need to find a home now. They keep each other company at home when you are away and are a joy to watch and tend to when you are home. You can’t bear to ignore them when they’re begging for veggies by standing on their hind legs.  Check out their video clip.  And nothing is sweeter than seeing two rabbits cuddle and groom each other.

If you can provide an safe, indoor home for these two girls, please meet them  soon.  They are already spayed and their adoption fee will be waived!  Plus, you will receive a thank-you gift basket donated by a volunteer.

See their Petfinder page at: http://www.petfinder.com/petdetail/21636700 or visit Oakland Animal Services at 1101 29th Avenue, Oakland, CA.

Part of the Oakland Police Department, Oakland Animal Services is both an Animal Control unit–which is in charge of the city’s public safety and animal welfare–and a shelter, which helps abused, neglected and abandoned animals within its facility.
