Community photo of the week: Dogs on duty

on February 27, 2013

Every week, Oakland North will publish a photo submitted by one of our readers. This week’s photo is by Leal Charonnat.

Charonnat writes, “Early Sunday morning at the corner of Pineneedle Drive and Broadway Terrace, a 50-year-old light standard (light pole) whose base had rusted away fell onto the street.  Within a short time Oakland Police (car 1849) arrived and a short time later a truck with two Oakland workers arrived from the corporation yard. (The workers had to drive from home to the yard to pick up their truck.)  Pictured are two canine residents – Sancho and Jeffrey – inspecting their work.”
