Every week, Oakland North will publish a photo submitted by one of our readers. This week’s photo is by Valerie Conant.
She writes, “This photo was taken in the Longfellow neighborhood, next to a hair styling shop on Market Street. This kind of design detail shows a neighborhood with a lot of heart.”

Please make all photographs large-sized and in jpeg format. Oakland North cannot pay for community photos, except in gratitude and local love.
