Hot spots for Fleet Week air shows

San Francisco Fleet Week is here and the itinerary is packed with activities–take a tour inside of a Guided Missile Destroyer ship, watch fireworks from a yacht while enjoying a gourmet dinner, or watch The United States Navy Blue Angels in an air show. The flight path spans from the Marina District to the docks along the Embarcadero, so where should spectators go to get the best views of the air show? Look at our handy map of the hot spots and how you can snag a great seat!
At Marina Green, you can be a part of the Flight Deck Club. Not only do you get a guaranteed great view of the air show, you get full access to catered food, beverages (including beer and wine), and the opportunity to listen to the air show narration through a dedicated sound system. Tickets for Saturday are already sold out, but Sunday is still open with special discounted pricing. Adults are $125 and children (for ages four to 12) are $50. For those who want to get seating for Saturday, or don’t need the amenities of the Flight Deck Club, you can buy a reserved seat in the stadium-like seating area at Marina Green Park. On Saturday, seats are $35 and $25 on Sunday. Children under four years old get free admission. At Aquatic Park’s grandstand seating area at Municipal Pier, you can catch the views for free!
On Sunday and Monday, from noon to 4 pm, Canadian and US ships will be at the docks and open for free tours. The tours are on a first come, first serve basis, so it’s best to get there earlier.
Fleet week started on Thursday with the Blue Angels practicing for the air show, and will end on Tuesday when the ships depart from the wharf.
