Thousands of people marched through the streets of Oakland on Tuesday as part of Occupy Oakland’s May Day protest. Oakland North reporters were on the scene throughout the day, from the morning protests at Child Protection Services, to the nighttime clashes between protesters and police.

The raid on Oaksterdam was met with a great deal of public resistance, and it is not just providers and patients who are upset; public support for marijuana legalization has never been higher, especially for medical marijuana.

Pies with a permit: The California Homemade Food Act heads to the vote
