Many of us in the Bay Area love animals. I can’t help petting dogs when they’re sitting with their owners outside a cafe or waiting patiently for them outside the grocery store. It’s not a surprise that I would gravitate toward volunteering at the local humane society, and it’s perfectly okay–dogs and cats are so so cute.
