Pacific Institute celebrates 30 years of groundbreaking environmental research

Peter Gleick, co-founder of the Pacific Institute, holds up the group's first publication from 1988. The organization, founded in 1987, recently celebrated its 30th anniversary.

Over the last 30 years, Pacific Institute has studied the effect climate change could have on the environment and promoted strategies to make more efficient use of water and pushed California officials to consider climate change’s effect on water.
