Community photo of the week: Gigantic saw

on May 11, 2011

Oakland North is continuing with our feature. Every Wednesday, we will publish a photo submitted by one of our readers. This week’s photo is by Gordon Mackenzie.

Mackenzie saw this gigantic saw while riding his bicycle around Oakland. He says it’s on the facade of and old tool sharpening building on Martin Luther King Jr. Way between 44th and 45th Street.

If you’d like to contribute to “community photo of the week,” just send a favorite photograph taken in Oakland to dara.kerr@oaklandnorth.net with the subject: PHOTO. Please make all photographs large-sized and in jpeg format.

Great sign! I rode past today after the morning’s Bike to Work Day activities, so I can add this to the Our Oakland signs feature. This is a real gem.

    Love decrepit, old signs.
