Adoptable pet of the week: Lulu

on December 18, 2013

Our adoptable pet of the week is a sweet netherland dwarf rabbit named Lulu. A volunteer who visits Lulu frequently reports that she can sometimes be bashful with new people, but once she’s familiar with you she’ll eagerly accept snuggling, nose rubs and pets. Then she will calmly relax in your arms while giving you bunny purrs (soft teeth grinding) and occasional kisses.

Lulu’s adoption fee is $35. To adopt, all household members must meet with Lulu, whether family or roommates. To learn more about Lulu, visit her Petfinder profile: http://www.petfinder.com/petdetail/27820538/ or stop by Oakland Animal Services at 1101 29th Ave. for a visit. We are conveniently located 3 blocks from the Fruitvale BART station.

Part of the Oakland Police Department, Oakland Animal Services is both an Animal Control unit–which is in charge of the city’s public safety and animal welfare–and a shelter, which helps abused, neglected and abandoned animals within its facility. To learn more about our other adoptable animals, visit http://www.oaklandanimalservices.org.
