UC Berkeley march to Frank Ogawa Plaza

on March 4, 2010

Eight-hundred protesters assembled near Bancroft Way and Telegraph Avenue in support of the March 4th Day of Action. The march, which commenced at noon, went from Sather Gate in Berkeley to Frank Ogawa Plaza in Oakland for a rally. Along the way they were met with AC Transit buses and joined by Willard Middle School students who chanted, “Willard School is hella tight. Education is our right.” Groups carried signs, played drums and chanted as they made their way to meet other protesters at Oakland City Hall at 3 p.m.
