Adoptable Animal of the Week: Star

on October 19, 2010

Oakland North is adding a new feature to our site. Every Tuesday, Oakland Animal Services will be spotlighting an “Animal of the Week” that’s up for adoption at their facility.  This week it’s Star:

Star came to the shelter with his brothers and sister when they were about 1 month old. Now Star is close to 10 months old and is looking for a home of his own. All of his siblings have been adopted and now it is Star’s turn. Star is a sweet boy and has a fun personality. He likes to play on the ground and use you as a jungle gym. He loves treats and is litter box trained. Please visit Oakland Animal Services at 1101 29th Ave Oakland 94601 and ask to see Star, ACR #29467. You can also visit

Part of the Oakland Police Department, Oakland Animal Services is both an Animal Control unit—which is in charge of the city’s public safety and animal welfare—and a shelter, which helps abused, neglected and abandoned animals within its facility.

Of course, the adorable animal feature only happens when I leave. Well played, Kerr.
