Thanksgiving is a time for giving thanks, family… and food. From pumpkin pie to turkey, Thanksgiving is as much about the food as the fellowship. But while there are those of us who delight in crafting the perfect meal, we here at Oakland North know that some prefer not to spend their Turkey Day in the kitchen. Here are some local Oakland restaurants serving up Thanksgiving dinner this Thursday for those planning not to cook this holiday season.
Scott’s Seafood Grill & Bar

Menu: Traditional Thanksgiving Dinner
Cost: $35/ adults, $15/ children
Reservations: Recommended
For $35, guests at Scott’s Seafood Bar and Grill can indulge in an unlimited traditional Thanksgiving dinner with, as the restaurant promotes on their site, “all of the fixings and dessert.” Dinner will be served from 1:00-8:00pm and reservations are strongly suggested.
Pican Restaurant

Menu: Traditional Thanksgiving Dinner
Cost: $65/ person, $21.95/ children under 12

The restaurant that offers “a taste of the south,” will serve a traditional Thanksgiving dinner with a southern twist. For $65, diners can choose from menu items such as Cajun spiced smoked turkey, Cyprus island croquettes, sweet potatoes au gratin, and cider and honey buttered corn bread.

Menu: Traditional Thanksgiving Dinner/ American

Somerset Restaurant will serve a special Thanksgiving menu on Thursday at 4:30pm and 6:30pm. Guests can select traditional Thanksgiving fare, like a turkey dinner or roasted duck breast, as well as choose other menu items, which include broiled petrale sole and grilled lamb skewers. Dinner is priced per item.
King of King

Reservations: Recommended for Large Groups
Mayor-elect Jean Quan recently held her victory party at King of King. On Thanksgiving Day, the restaurant will offer its regular menu all day, which includes dim sum varieties and traditional Chinese cuisine.
Quinn’s Lighthouse Restaurant & Pub

On Thanksgiving Day, Quinn’s Lighthouse will be open during normal business hours and will offer its normal menu of American cuisine, which includes chicken cacciatore, fresh clam angel hair pasta and free range buffalo burgers.
