Adoptable animal of the week: Zeph
on May 3, 2011
Oakland North is continuing with our feature. Every Tuesday, Oakland Animal Services will spotlight an “Animal of the Week” that’s up for adoption at their facility. This week it’s Zeph:
Zeph is a border collie mix just over 6-months-old. He has been at Oakland Animal Services since he was a small puppy. When he was younger, Oakland Animal Services volunteers could tell he was a good learner because he quickly learned how to fetch tug toys and trade them for treats. As Zeph has gotten bigger, he has learned even more. One of the tricks he is doing right now is running around the yard and doing belly flops on the grass. Zeph is an easy-going dog and loves to be around people. Please consider giving Zeph a home. For more photos of him, click here. Visit Oakland Animal Services at 1101 29th Avenue, Oakland, CA and ask to see Zeph. You can also go to www.oaklandanimalservices.org.
Part of the Oakland Police Department, Oakland Animal Services is both an Animal Control unit—which is in charge of the city’s public safety and animal welfare—and a shelter, which helps abused, neglected and abandoned animals within its facility.
