Pop Up Hood Grand Opening

Pop Up Hood will be holding a grand opening for the holiday season inside a repurposed shipping container in the parking lot behind the building. Get your homegrown shopping fix with a number of local vendors including Manifesto Bicycles, Sticks+Stones, and Marion&Rose’s Workshop. Book Party for Malaquias Montoya

The Eastside Arts Alliance presents a celebration of Terezita Romo’s new book Malaquias Montoya. It is the first extended monograph of the life and work of Malaquias Montoya, the revolutionary printmaker and painter who was at the forefront of the Chicano Arts Movement. The artist and author will both be attending and engaging in a public dialogue at the reception and book party. Free and open to the public.

The biggest rummage sale in Northern California will be held on Saturday March 3, and Sunday, March 4, 2012 and the museum is collecting donations. Donations of gently used items can be dropped off at the warehouse at 333 Lancaster Street in Oakland between 10 and 1 on Saturday.

Holiday Gifty Art Sale and Open House

Yeast Piss & Poppy Sap

A Walk in the Wild: Continuing John Muir’s Journey

A new interactive exhibit opens August 6 and highlights the legacy of the famous California naturalist and combines, art, science and natural history. Exhibit continues through January 22, 2012.
