This was a long time coming with the Postal Service not keeping up with the digital age, along with the culture of bloated and entitled tenured workforce, most especially in Oakland. I’ve moved around a lot between the coasts in the past 17 years and within a month of living here, I’ve encountered the rudest, uncouth and discourteous postal employees. Being that I’ve worked around federal employees who feel they have job security forever back east, the attitudes I’ve dealt with here are even worse to the extent a postal supervisor can’t even answer the phone politely and was extremely confrontational. The arrogant moron I spoke to didn’t even consider himself a public servant. I sure am glad they are downsizing since this is the kind of service we can do without!
