Community photo of the week: Laundry

on December 5, 2012

Every week, Oakland North will publish a photo submitted by one of our readers. This week’s photo is by Tamara Gallagher and was taken near the intersection of Clay and 8th Streets.

The architecture, culture, and light of Oakland catches my eye.  I love looking up at the buildings–seeing things reflecting or hanging out of windows. I was born and raised in San Francisco and transplanted myself into Oakland about 9 years ago.  It’s a beautiful place and I am proud to call it home.

If you’d like to contribute to “community photo of the week,” just send a favorite photograph taken in Oakland to staff@oaklandnorth.net with the subject: PHOTO. Please make all photographs large-sized and in jpeg format. Oakland North cannot pay for community photos, except in gratitude and local love.
