Bus driver

AC Transit’s No. 1 Bus is the principal line running through 51st and Telegraph. Its 17-mile route carries 11,600 passengers daily, and stops 112 times as it travels from San Leandro’s Bayfair shopping center, through the heart of Oakland, to the busy center of Berkeley. Bus driver Philip Burnley describes his first days driving the route.
