It’s November 30th, the last day of the month. Boy, that was fast!
Around here, every Monday is Cyber Monday. But today is also the typical final day of the big Thanksgiving weekend sales. Black Friday was a mixed success, with reports indicating a slight bump in overall sales as retailers cut deep deals to bring in the shoppers. Depending on the numbers, we’ll see if the big sales continue through the week.
The driver of the Mini Cooper involved in Saturday night’s car crash in Sonoma County has died. The 19 year-old was reportedly driving at 100mph when he struck a minivan carrying a family of four, killing all inside.
The future of the A’s in Oakland remains uncertain with team co-owner Lew Wolff calling the latest location proposals “unworkable.”
The intense winds over the Thanksgiving weekend have not damaged the new Bay Bridge repair. Caltrans said the fix held up despite gusts of 30 knots.
