Ten candidates, one mayoral race. As November 2 approaches, which of these candidates is making an impression on the people of Oakland? Twelve days before the election, Oakland North went to the corner of 51st Street and Telegraph Avenue to find out.

Wow – based on viewing this, I think team Perata is probably right and name recognition will carry the day. With the city in so much trouble how can people be so completely out of it on even who the candidates are? Again, wow.
yes… i love these “bigot on the street” interviews. the gentleman who thinks gays shouldn’t hold office may need a history lesson. the same was said of him not very long ago.
Rebecca Kaplan’s name comes up in increasingly greater numbers and 1st place endorsements in this race. I believe she is going to win.
Zoe, standing at 51st and Telegraph, I’d be surprised if you could not find a Kaplan supporter.
