Bazillions of bike baskets

I don’t know about everyone else, but I’m seeing more bikes with baskets than ever before. Maybe it’s more people commuting? Or maybe folks are giving up their cars and use baskets to grocery shop on their bikes? Maybe it’s just a cool trend? Whatever the reason, some people get really creative in constructing their baskets. I’ve taken a few photos of the eclectic baskets I’ve seen around lately:

It seems we’re not the only ones who love Temescal. Temescal gets some kudos as one of the best old house neighborhoods from This Old House magazine. Today is the last day for SF Pride partying in San Francisco. Pride fever is in the air?  Can you feel it? Most of the action is taking place across the bay at San Francisco Pride.  Oakland will have its own pride action in late July early August. However, if you’re not done partying yet The Vibe Lounge will havea 1 Year Anniversary White Party from 8-2am tonight.

It’s still hard to believe we lost Michael Jackson yesterday.  May the King of Pop rest in peace. The Oakland Tribune spoke to some East Bay folks who shared their memories of Micheal Jackson.  What did you do yesterday?  Any plans today?
