Oil spill contained as clean-up continues

UPDATED: 9:00p.m. A still-undetermined amount of oil spilled from the Panamanian-flagged tanker ship the Dubai Star into the San Francisco Bay Friday morning around 6:48 AM, causing an oil slick two miles long and 220 yards wide.

Repairs begin on Bay Bridge

Caltrans crews worked through the night to begin repairing a section of the Bay Bridge that collapsed onto the upper deck last night. The upper and lower levels have both been closed to traffic and a construction team is currently working on the bridge.
