Mustaches required for this Oakland bike ride
on February 13, 2011
From drawn-on to wax-tipped, mustaches of all shapes and sizes were invited to this party. Over 150 riders of all ages, experiences and bike types fashioned a ‘stache for this month’s East Bay Mustache Ride Theme Bike Party. Beginning at the Lake Merritt BART station, with intermediate stops under bridges and parks for dancing and relaxing, riders traveled through Oakland and Piedmont. The three-hour, 11-mile trip ended at the Parkway Lounge on Park Avenue where plenty of cold beers awaited thirsty bikers. East Bay Bike Park rides every second Friday of the month, each time featuring a new theme. Last month was Hillbilly Wedding. What will next month be? Check out their website for future announcements.
