North Oakland Now: 7.2.09

on July 2, 2009

Despite the disconcerting news that our Governor declared a fiscal emergency on Wednesday, the sky is blue and the sun is out today.  Take advantage of this to head over to the Alameda county fair, which started yesterday.  Hours are 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and there’s plenty to do and see.  Also, you can head over to the Bank of the West building in Temescal to see a locally produced film tonight starting at 8:00 p.m.  Bring warm blankets and sweatshirts!

Oakland North welcomes comments from our readers, but we ask users to keep all discussion civil and on-topic. Comments post automatically without review from our staff, but we reserve the right to delete material that is libelous, a personal attack, or spam. We request that commenters consistently use the same login name. Comments from the same user posted under multiple aliases may be deleted.
