Bakesale Betty’s Uptown is open for business

on April 23, 2010

The wait is over.  The uptown location of Bakesale Betty’s, 2228 Broadway, Oakland, CA‎, started its soft opening Thursday at 7 a.m.  Employees from area businesses were elated to have a favorite so close.

The soft opening will continue Friday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. and next week from Wednesday through Friday. Plans for a grand opening celebration are in the works.

    Bakesale Betty’s is a great addition to the Uptown area. These are the types of positive businesses that Oakland should be encouraging that add value to the community, grow our tax base and create a sense of place. Thank you Bakesale Betty’s for investing in Oakland!

    I loe the fact that she emplys local kids. Sometime going in there is like an Oakland Tech reunion. I love the fact that she gives AFrican American kids a shot, when most do not.

    I just Love your Sandwiches My Sister goes to your facility and my son loves it to keep up the goo work and now your closer to me I can walk to you new location for lunch. And I think the ironing boards are so creative and very different. you go!!!!

    Come see a comedy improv show at Pan Theater after. We’re right across the street at 2135 Broadway. Awkward Face performers every Saturday (http://www.awkwardface.com).
