Community photos of Earth Day 2011

on April 22, 2011

The official Earth Day is today, April 22, but Oaklanders got started with hikes, clean-ups and plantings last weekend. Here are some photos submitted to us from around the community showcasing the hard work so many put into taking care of Oakland and making it a healthier place.

It’s not to late to send in your own photos!  Took the kids for a nature walk?  Joined a community group to plant flowers in a park? Attended an Earth Day event?  Send a picture to lillian.mongeau@oaklandnorth.net.

Don’t forget to tell us what’s going on in the photos!

We’ll be collecting until 8 p.m tonight.
