Oakland cab outfit goes hybrid

Friendly Cab in Oakland has put 15 Ford Escape hybrids on the road in the last month in an effort to reduce its carbon emissions. That video story is above. In the bonus video to the right, long-time cab driver Timothy Baker shares a bit about life on the road in Oakland.

I recently also saw a yellow Prius in Oakland with the green City of Oakland Taxi sticker that was branded Golden Cab.
